Today was our last group of Stillwater 5th graders and they were so great! Everyone was so excited about the field trip and seemed to really love the rotation stations. But the dissection is where the stars came out - the whole class rocked it from start to finish! You guys were great and we hope to see you again soon!
Today we welcomed Mrs. Farnworth's students from Stillwater. These scientists were ready to roll the second they walked through our door! They were so enthusiastic and anyone that was nervous about dissection came out of it LOVING the experience! You were a great group - thanks for visiting us!!
The KIMSeattle crew was beyond thrilled to be able to travel to Quincy to teach again this year!! We spent 2 awesome days at Pioneer Elementary and Mountain View Elementary, teaching all the 3rd graders at those schools PLUS the kiddos at George Elementary too! You are all such gracious hosts and eager learners, it makes our job so much easier and more fun!
Today we welcomed back Stillwater Elementary students!! Its been a couple years since we've had the pleasure of hosting this school so we are thrilled to welcome them to our new digs. These kids were so happy to spend some time with us and really seemed to enjoy all parts of their field trip. Thanks for joining us everyone!
Today we hosted 4th grade scientists from Ms. Short's class at Holy Rosary School! We're always so excited to welcome students from a school that we haven't worked with before, so it was nice to meet everyone! These kids were super excited and really well prepared which is always great. We hope that you all enjoyed your field trip experience - we loved hosting you!
We were so happy to host Ridgecrest 5th graders in Ms. Whitney's class today! These kids were unbelievably excited for the dissection and the class was full of amazing scientists - they were even sad when it was over (we like that!). Great job!
Today we hosted Ms. Shier's 5th graders and they were awesome! This group was so prepared and smart - they taught us some facts more than once! They were a little nervous for the dissection but rocked it out in the end - great job!
We just wrapped up two awesome days with all the 4th graders at Meridian Park Elementary! These students were so welcoming and we had so much fun teaching you all! A special thanks to Mrs. Peters for arranging for our visit, and all the MP teachers and parents that joined us!
We're so happy to teach another year at Kellogg! This year marked our 4th year teaching all the 7th graders at this middle school, and it is truly a treat for us each year. A huge thanks goes out to the lovely Kellogg teachers and the fantastic parent chaperones that help make this outreach program a success! Thanks again for having us!!
Today we were happy to welcome back Mr. Chavez's class of 5th graders! This group was energetic and definitely happy to visit. Everyone seemed very interested in the stents and biomedical devices - we hope some of you pursue that career path! Thanks again for bringing your students Steve!
Today marks the first of FOUR groups from Cherry Valley! We started the week off hosting Ms. Ish's class of 5th graders, who were definitely excited for their field trip. There was a buzz of energy throughout the day and it seemed like everyone enjoyed their visit - now go tell all your classmates how awesome the day was!!
KIMSeattle kicked off 2016 with a visit from Evergreen's 4th & 5th grade scientists! These enthusiastic students arrived ready to learn - and it sure showed during the dissection! We were thoroughly impressed with these kiddos as they helped each other through the day. Thanks for visiting us again and we hope to see you soon!

Today we were joined by a second group of Briarcrest 4th graders for the heart module - there are some future surgeons in this group! These scientists asked some fantastic questions and definitely knew their stuff. The dissection was impressive, everyone did an amazing job following instructions - many of the student groups made better cuts than we've seen from adults! This was a great group and we hope you enjoyed your field trip!!
We started off this week's programs with 4th graders from Ms. Neble's class at Briarcrest! After some lessons in the classroom, we had lots of success in the rotation stations learning about blood flow and sugar, then had a blast with the heart dissection. We hope you all had so much fun!
We are so thrilled to announce our partnership with Shoreline Community College! Through collaboration with SCC's Science Department, we're able to utilize collegiate laboratory space and other campus locations to deliver truly authentic experiences to this year's KIMSeattle students! The SCC staff have been unbelievably supportive of our program and we are so excited to work together to inspire the next generation of STEM scientists and leaders.

The KIMSeattle team was so happy to be able to host all of Parkwood's 4th grade students again this year! This last batch of students got to check out a new room for rotation stations, learn about sugar in their lunches, and completed just an awesome pig heart dissection. They were fun, they were energetic, and they did an awesome job - thanks for visiting everyone!!
