Wildlife Skull Identification Forensic Set
KIMSeattle introduces Wildlife Skull Identification, the third in a series of forensic Career-connected Classroom ™ education kits. Based on a true wildlife crime, this innovative set introduces the rapidly expanding field of wildlife forensic science.
This scenario-based learning lab will have students analyzing skull structures (teeth and other bony landmarks) to make inferences about that mammal’s eating habits and environmental lifestyle. Using a dichotomous key, they will then identify nine mystery skulls from a recent federal crime of wildlife poisoning.
